Nobody wants to play that game anymore, I guess there's too many math nerds grinding at NLHE online to learn a game like that. The deal with stud poker, especially five-card is that you know almost everything. That one hidden card your opponent has is all you don't know and your one hole card is all that opponent don't know.
So if you got a pair of jacks showing and that dude has king high and he raises big what do you do? He either has the king in the hole or he don't have the king. That's poker. What if you re-raise? Now you either don't believe he has the king or you believe he has the king but you have the jack for a set or you don't have the jack but you want him to think you do. That's man to man poker or non-gender specific person to non-gender person to person poker if you insist.
I learned the math of of hold 'em, it's a great game and I don't want to miss out. But the math is simple, it's reading people by looking at their eyes that makes poker poker.
