So you peel the flop when you don't have a made hand but you got some reason to think that if you call a bet from the PF raiser you can get the pot on the turn or river. That can be by bluffing him off in which case it was more of a float than a flop or it can be because you think you'll pick up a flush or pair an over-card in your hand. You could combine the two and figure you'll either make a hand or the board will look like you hit your hand so either way you plan to raise if the villain bets.
For some reason no one much writes about peeling, but it's always been a money maker for me.
"Always" meaning over the years, not every time I use it.

Hey, Seymour, is that really you in the picture? I don't see anything about floating the flop in the strategy sheet so are we ever supposed to float if we're taking the THC? What hands do you float with, like over-cards on the flop?

There is no floating in the THC, Princess. Mainly because your stack is too short for such fancy play. If you have 50BB or above and you decide to ride it out instead of cashing, you might float some specific flops, such as you having a backdoor draw or a single over-card. If nothing else, that will balance your calling range on the flop which should mainly be hands so strong you don't mind letting Villain set his own price to see the turn.
