Hi. I've been playing poker for a couple of years and have been shortstacking 40bb buyin on Betonline and 888 at 10nl mostly. I learned 6max shortstacking through another website, which uses a way more loose style of play. But wanting to try out some more 9-handed play, I came here. Moving to 25nl 6max, I noticed that they are too reg-heavy, but 9handed tables are way softer. So looking forward to trying this strategy out.
By the way, I e-mailed you and send you a message, Frank, about buying your book. I also transferred the 5.99 $ to you via paypal. I hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome to our forum, hungerbarn!
I believe that you now have the book, I was notified of a successful order. If not, let me know and I will get it to you immediately.
Just out of curiosity, was the website automaticpoker.com?
I don't mind at all if members want to talk about other poker advisors and their products. I don't consider it competition. I encourage my readers to check out other poker advisers.
In fact, I think I'll start a thread about it.

Yes, I received the book, thank you. I've skimmed it...looks very nice, indeed. The other website was automaticpoker.com, as you suggest. Jim's approach is much, much looser than yours - especially at more advanced levels, where you utilize a HUD to the utmost - but still based on the same sound principles. Once you start shortstacking, there's no going back to playing deep ever again. At least not for me. Then again, I'm not a live player, never will be, so I've no need to go deepstacked. I've participated in several nice threads on AP, and we have discussed the issue SPR and open raise size a lot. Jim advocates for a min-raise from all positions, and then negotiating higher SPRs postflop, which demand more caution and pot control with non-nut hands like TP and overpairs, and others root for a 3x sizing preflop to get to lower SPRs and easier decision trees postflop. Your book suggests a 4x open, which makes things really easy postflop, even with a 8+ out draw and TPGK, which are very troublesome vs tighter opponents with higher SPRa. These are very exciting aspects to talk about....among a lot of other things, of course

It's good to see someone speaking favorable of short-stacking. Tired of being flamed on the forums and Facebook groups, but what can you do? I'd love to do a challenge where a dedicated full stacker and I play with the same bankroll, like $500. They play full stacked 25NL and I play short stacked at 100NL. Loser owes the winner the amount of the bankroll.
Not playing each other, because that doesn't determine the best player in my opinion. The best poker player is the player who can make the most money in the shortest time or the fewest hands.
I'll check out AP's forums, I never read them before.

Yeah Frank I don't get why people get mad when you say your a short-stacker on the forums. I guess they get tired of losing money to people that "hit and run". Poker is for making money so they should try it instead of getting mad about it.
